In Canada, the safety net has failed. Citizens with disabilities are being pushed toward euthanasia not because their condition is unendurable, but because their situation is.

When we speak of "poverty," we do not just mean an empty bank account. We mean an empty list of options. It is the poverty of access—when a person cannot get a wheelchair, a specialist, or safe housing, but can easily access a lethal injection. This is a systemic failure where death becomes the only efficient government service available.

We are currently engineering the first professional intervention system designed to fix these failures. We are developing a robust framework to identify where the system is broken for an individual and provide the specific resources needed to turn "no other choice" into a secure future.
