OUR MANDATE

Who We Are

Right to Live Canada is a national non-profit organization focused on a critical failure in our social architecture: the rise of systemic poverty driven euthanasia (MAiD) among Canadians with disabilities.

We are building the infrastructure to solve this crisis. Our objective is to provide MAiD assessors with a referable resource that delivers the exact intervention required to relieve an applicant’s suffering—whether that is specialized housing, medical treatment, or essential care. We will identify the specific deficit and execute the donor-funded mandate to resolve it. This will constitute the 'viable alternative' that  assessors are mandated to refer a client, whose absence otherwise results in MAiD approval.

By establishing a direct pipeline between philanthropic capital and these tailored, life-affirming outcomes, we intend to close the gap in Canada's MAiD system and ensure that no Canadian is forced to choose euthanasia simply because they cannot afford the support they need to live.

Our Blueprint for a More Robust Canada

Our goals are not simply aspirations; they are a blueprint for a more coherent and humane system. This blueprint guides our strategy, directs our programs, and informs our public education. It outlines the core design principles required to build a society where every citizen is truly supported in their right to live with dignity.

1. AWARENESS & PUBLIC EDUCATION

We are committed to making this systemic flaw understood by all Canadians. By clearly diagnosing the problem and raising public awareness, we seek to create the shared understanding required to foster meaningful, lasting change and protect our nation's most vulnerable citizens.

2. DIRECT & EFFECTIVE INTERVENTION

Awareness must be paired with action. We are working to build Canada's first support program to provide a viable alternative to poverty motivated euthanasia. By alleviating the barriers to accessing support, we hope to provide another way to remedy suffering than ending life.

3. EMPOWERING FUTURE LEADERS

To prevent these failures from ever happening again, we hope to invest in the leaders of tomorrow. We are working to develop effective, high-impact educational materials designed to engage with the next generation of Canadians who will one day architect our social and legal systems, ensuring they are built with greater wisdom and foresight.
